Opree received his Masters of Social Work from Barry University. He obtained a Corporate Consulting Certification from Nova Southeastern University. For the past 27 years, Opree has dedicated a career path at clinically promoting and empowering meaningful changes in people's lives.


He has worked with individuals, families and groups who suffer from severe and persistent mental disorders within the entire spectrum of traditional mental health services: inpatient, out patient, residential, and in home. He continually supervises and trains professionals to skillfully work in these diverse settings.

Opree has also mentored recovering mentally ill consumers by empowering them to utilize their experiences in recovery to help others suffering from mental illness. This has now developed into a recognized practice that is being utilized by most mental health providers.

His family work has been acknowledged and highly praised as a consultant to families or significant others who have loved ones suffering from mental disorders. He works closely with Broward County Mental Health Association, National Association of the Mentally Ill, and various consumer drop-in centers in the area.

Opree has expanded his clinical focus to address individuals and organizations who are struggling transitioning. He utilizes coaching, counseling and consulting techniques that help people discover and often rediscover their untapped potential. This can be used as a catalyst for life and organizational advancement.
